San Pedro Blinds was founded in 1984 by Russ & Carol Heise in a warehouse complex off a well known beaten path in Arlington, Texas. We began by selling "salvage" mini blinds and roller shades to the general public off cinderblock and hollow-core doors that passed for shelving. We gradually moved up to cutting stock blinds, restringing blinds, custom ordering blinds and then finally to custom fabrication of many different types of horizontal blinds, vertical blinds and pleated shades. We purchased our own machinery, inspection towers; different types of coil stock, wood and fabrics. After almost 20 years of being stuck off the main street we decided to move to beautiful Lake Worth, Texas. We purchased our own lot and put up our own building. We made the decision to change our name, since "Mini Blind Warehouse" no longer applied, and San Pedro Blinds was born … with the help of our muse, Pedro. In the left photo is Carol and our late mascot, Pedro. Pedro was a loving and loyal family member for many years. He greeted every customer as soon as they walked through the front door. Our company is named after him. Needless to say many aspects of our business have changed over the years with the exception of two things; our dedication to making only top quality products and dedication to our customer's satisfaction. We have learned to stay away from cheap imitations, inferior components, products that are merely gimmicks and trends that won't last. We have narrowed our selections to a few tried and true products that will remain timeless and will give you, our customer, many years of beauty and function. |
